Indian Snack Sale
We partnered up with another FTC team from Santa Clara, Team Erudite to fundraise Indian snacks and drinks at our local community. Through this fundraiser, we connected to another team, connected to our community, and were able to gain money to fund our team.
San Jose Flea Market at Berryessa
At the San Jose Flea Market in Berryessa, we sold our own AI-generated art. By typing keywords into a Stable Diffusion program by means of a monitor at home, and then using image-enhancing software to increase the picture quality, we amazed ourselves at the power of technology to create beautiful art. Through our conversations, customers learned about FTC, robotics, FIRST values, and the purpose of selling this art to our community. We were able to gain money that we used to fund our robot parts while connecting to our local community.
Discovery Charter School Phoenix
We went to Discovery Charter School Phoenix and sold homemade 3D-printed holiday ornaments while talking to over 35 families about FIRST core values, gracious professionalism, and how to take advantage of different technologies found in makerspace settings. We were able to fundraise while introducing children and families to FIRST and FTC.
